Tradition and development that puts fish first
Our company, Skillinge Fisk-Impex AB, is located in the beautiful rolling countryside of Österlen in southeast Scania. The company is young, expansive and eager to explore new opportunities to develop the centuries-old fishing industry in Österlen. Over the past few years we have expanded rapidly and further strengthened our position in the fishery business as a company that wants to master each stage of the fishing process - from sea, via preparation to satisfied consumer. The fish we sell and supply are caught daily in order to guarantee perfect freshness and high quality.
From sea to table without intermediaries ensures quality

Each day we receive cathes from some sixty boats along the south coast, from Karlskrona in the norteast to small harboursdotted around Öresund to the west. And because all these boats are associated with our company we are assured regular cathes. We prepare the fish i nour Eu-approved factory in Simrishamn in accordance with our customers´wishes The fish is then sent to customers in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, France, Russia, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine.
New investment in Simrishamn

The latest phase inour continuing expansion ist the acquistion of the cold storage firm, Simrishamns Fryshus AB, wich became a part of Skillinge Fisk-Impex AB on Januari 1, 2000. For the past 50 years Simrishamns Fryshus AB has acted as a service company to fishing industri. It is a commercial cold store plant offering a full range of services incliuding horizontal and vertical flat freezing, tunnel freezing and loose freezing in gyrofreezers. The total freezing capacity is approximately 250 tons per day.

18 000 m³ cold storage space
The company has 18 000 m³ cold storage space and its close proximity to the harbour in Simrishamn offers excellent opprtunitis to export to other harbours ny boat. In fact the factory is only 15 metres from the quayside.

Sorting, grading
Besides our cold storage we also have a sorting plant where we sort and grade the cathes landed by our boats. In this plant we sort four different sizes of Baltic and Skarp heering depending on our customers` wishes. Once sorted and graded the fish are frozen in a fast-freeze vertical freezer to preserve their high quality. We are also an IQF subcontractor, wich means that we freeze herring and cod fillets for the Swedish domestic market. Lastly, we also operate an ice factory at Simrishamn´s harbour that, among other things, supplies the fishing boats with ice as an extra service. The frozen fish is exported to numerous countries.

Freshwater fish
Simrishamns Fryshus AB now imports and sells freshwater fish such as zander (zander fillets), pike (pike fillets), perch (perch fillets) - a new and interesting market segment.
